We are doing it in our entryway honed 12x12s and are struggling with what color grout to use.
White marble dark grout.
For anyone checking back on this i am having a new house built and had a carrara marble 3x6 subway tile backsplash put in the kitchen with absolute black granite.
Our contractors have tried to get it out with limited success and are blaming us for choosing the grout color but if you go with white marble and black grout which i still think is an amazing combo if you can keep.
Some people say to use a black grout but others say it could seep into the white marble is gray the.
I hear it quite often dark grout can sometimes seep into the sides of a light marble and stain it causing it to look dingy overall.
Especially when looking at it in the daylight.
The black grout itself looks amazing but the marble looks terrible like someone had done a rubbing on it with black crayon.
Has anyone done a black and white marble checkered floor.
So if someone was putting marble everywhere a light or white grout with the marble is actually the most practical because then it makes the marble easier to clean.
The perfect medium between black and white grout that s a bit softer than both.
I thought the dark grout might help to tie things together.
I m having my oak staircase painted black with white risers and installing black tile around the fireplace in an open concept.

My vote is white it will keep the marble looking pristine and will darken a bit over time matching the look of natural carrara quite well.
Definitely stay with a lighter color for marble.
